Tattoo Aftercare Guide

Proper aftercare is crucial to keep your tattoo looking great after the healing process. The full healing process may take up to 4 weeks and involves three stages:

• Oozing and Soreness (1-3 days): Your tattoo may ooze and feel sore. After about 3 days, scabbing begins.

• Itching and Flaking (1-2 weeks): Your tattoo will itch and flake. Under the dead skin, you’ll see thin, fresh “milky skin.”

• Appearance (3-4 weeks): Your tattoo may look cloudy and blurred as deeper layers repair. Eventually, this skin will peel off, leaving a fully healed tattoo.

Important: It's extremely important to follow all steps although failing the Aftercare guide will not only result in the loss of free touch up but may also cause health problems. Please read it carefully and follow all steps.

Steps:

1. First Hour: Unwrap the foil, wash with lukewarm water and hypoallergenic soap, and gently tap dry with a clean towel.

2. Overnight Oozing: If your tattoo oozes blood or plasma, wrap it with cling film overnight.

3. Morning Care: If wrapped overnight, follow step 1 in the morning.

4. Daily Lotion: Use Tattoo Goo lotion 3-4 times a day with clean hands and dry skin. Rub gently until absorbed.

5. Breathing: Let your skin breathe as much as possible to speed up healing.

6. Clothing: Avoid tight clothing that may irritate or infect the tattoo.

7. Work Environment: Cover your tattoo if working in dirty or dusty environments.

8. Avoid Exposure: Keep your tattoo away from direct sunlight, water, sweat, and dust during healing.

9. No Exercise: Avoid exercising for the first 2 weeks.

10. No Scratching: Do not scratch your tattoo or pick at scabs. Let it peel naturally.

Note: If swelling persists for more than 3 days, contact your tattoo artist. Healing times vary by skin type.
